Nous formons les communaut\u00e9s locales afin qu\u2019elles puissent travailler en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 par la suite. Les techniciens qui participent \u00e0 ces projets partagent volontairement leurs connaissances et leurs comp\u00e9tences avec les communaut\u00e9s locales, comme l\u2019a fait Stijn. Lorsqu\u2019on lui a propos\u00e9 d\u2019accompagner quelques techniciens en Gambie pour partager sa passion et ses connaissances techniques, il s\u2019est imm\u00e9diatement engag\u00e9.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-438e8d8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"438e8d8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Le projet de volontariat en Gambie<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7378176 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7378176\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Notre projet de volontariat en Gambie poursuivait deux objectifs\u00a0: transmettre des connaissances et faire acqu\u00e9rir des comp\u00e9tences \u00e0 des \u00e9l\u00e8ves du secondaire dans une \u00e9cole technique, et installer l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 ainsi que des panneaux solaires dans l\u2019\u00e9cole primaire \u00ab\u00a0The Swallow\u00a0\u00bb. Stijn s\u2019est charg\u00e9 de la coordination du projet, il a montr\u00e9 aux \u00e9tudiants comment installer l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, les a guid\u00e9s et leur a expliqu\u00e9 les r\u00e8gles de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ca9490b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ca9490b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Relever les d\u00e9fis li\u00e9s \u00e0 la culture<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-93afadf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"93afadf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Stijn explique\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0La culture en Gambie est tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rente de la n\u00f4tre\u00a0: les gens y sont plus d\u00e9tendus, plus d\u00e9contract\u00e9s, et on rit plus souvent en travaillant. Mais il y a \u00e9galement eu quelques d\u00e9fis \u00e0 relever au cours du projet. Ce qui m\u2019a particuli\u00e8rement frapp\u00e9, c\u2019est le fait que les gens agissent avant de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir. Par exemple, il fallait trois \u00e0 quatre heures pour obtenir une pi\u00e8ce de rechange. Ce qui serait alors plus efficace est d\u2019apporter des pi\u00e8ces de rechange suppl\u00e9mentaires au cas o\u00f9 la pi\u00e8ce se casserait \u00e0 nouveau. Les \u00e9tudiants se montrent certes cr\u00e9atifs pour trouver des solutions, mais ils pourraient travailler de mani\u00e8re plus structur\u00e9e.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d1974bf elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d1974bf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Une autre fa\u00e7on de travailler<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ce63eb9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ce63eb9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Stijn explique : \u00ab En Gambie, on ne travaille pas du tout de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re qu\u2019en Belgique. Leurs connaissances en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 sont \u00e9galement limit\u00e9es. Par exemple, les \u00e9tudiants et les enseignants savaient ce qu\u2019\u00e9tait un voltm\u00e8tre, mais ignoraient comment l\u2019utiliser. Ils ne connaissaient que tr\u00e8s peu les notions de mise \u00e0 la terre ou de fusibles, qui sont pourtant consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme des connaissances de base en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 dans notre pays.<\/p><p>M\u00eame les r\u00e8gles de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9taient pratiquement inexistantes. Les \u00e9lectriciens faisaient souvent des pontages, une pratique que nous d\u00e9conseillons fortement en Belgique. Les pontages augmentent les risques d\u2019incendie, d\u2019\u00e9lectrocution et de court-circuit. Nous avons donc vraiment insist\u00e9 sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 lors de travaux d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00bb.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e15ba72 elementor-blockquote--skin-quotation elementor-widget elementor-widget-blockquote\" data-id=\"e15ba72\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"blockquote.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote class=\"elementor-blockquote\">\n\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-blockquote__content\">\n\t\t\t\t\u00ab Apr\u00e8s mon voyage en Gambie, j\u2019ai appris \u00e0 relativiser. D\u00e9sormais, je m\u2019inqui\u00e8te moins pour des choses sans importance, car finalement il y a toujours une solution. \u00bb\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/blockquote>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-248778a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"248778a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Une exp\u00e9rience enrichissante pour les techniciens<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-77d4bb4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"77d4bb4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Stijn explique\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0La collaboration entre les communaut\u00e9s locales et les autres membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe s\u2019est tr\u00e8s bien d\u00e9roul\u00e9e. Ils parlaient bien anglais, ce qui nous a permis de communiquer facilement les uns avec les autres. Parfois, on avait vraiment l\u2019impression de se conna\u00eetre depuis des ann\u00e9es. En Gambie, les gens sont beaucoup plus ouverts et chaleureux les uns envers les autres. Nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s bien accueillis. Le soir, apr\u00e8s le travail, ou le week-end, il nous arrivait de nous retrouver les uns chez les autres. Il y avait vraiment une bonne ambiance.<\/p><p>D\u2019un point de vue personnel, j\u2019ai \u00e9galement beaucoup appris de mon s\u00e9jour en Gambie. Tout d\u2019abord, j\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9 \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. En Belgique, on a plus d\u2019opportunit\u00e9s et on peut profiter de plus de luxe, mais on ne s\u2019en rend pas toujours compte. Mon exp\u00e9rience en Gambie m\u2019a appris \u00e0 relativiser. Je m\u2019inqui\u00e8te moins pour des choses sans importance, car finalement il y a toujours une solution. Je ne peux donc que vous inciter \u00e0 faire du volontariat si l\u2019occasion se pr\u00e9sente. Ce fut une exp\u00e9rience formidable et tr\u00e8s bien organis\u00e9e. Nous avions une personne de contact sur place en Gambie et un logement \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vu pour tous les coll\u00e8gues.
